web design company of course10/23/2007 Web Design Company + Ecommerce What you are about to discover will benefit you greatly. In 2003 and most of 2004, I worked for an advertising and web design company that specialized in providing ecommerce solutions. The company I worked for is called the Mars Hill Group. It was started in 1996, by a man named David Baker and backed by the Reimer family, a well-established business name in the city taking this all into consideration,. When I started my title was Director of Client Services. I was hired to act as a mediator or go-between, to ensure that client expectations were clearly understood by our team of designers and developers. I would create timelines and carry out all project management and make sure that the client got what the client paid for, with no last minute, nasty surprises as it has been noted. Our team was made up of some of the best talent in the city. Our Creative Director had a flair for design that was second to none. Our Lead Developer could make absolutely any vision into a reality... with style! And our support staff really worked like a well-oiled machine achieving stellar results every time, on time. With confidence I can say that we had the potential to become the leading ecommerce and web design company in the city! We had our sights set on going national not everyone agrees with. And then... I was offered a government job. This job was basically an administrative position with a little bit of communications thrown in. They wanted me because I had a good understanding of the web and a background in design and communications. I took one look at the job description and had to laugh. They wanted to pay me a heck of a lot more money, to do work that I was way over-qualified to do. It would be a cakewalk. I just didn't see how I could turn down this opportunity on the contrary. I felt really bad about leaving the team at Mars Hill Group. We were like a little family and I was really starting to love the world of an ecommerce and web design company. I had finally found my groove... and I threw it all away for the mighty dollar taking this all into consideration,. I left the Mars Hill Group just over a year ago. I still check their website on a regular basis. I'm always keeping an eye out for their trademark work - it has a special flair that I'd recognize anywhere. I know my heart belongs to the world of web design and ecommerce. I just hope that one day soon I'll find my way back home as everyone knows. We have come to the end of my informational article. It's now your job to take this information and do something with it. Good luck and thanks for visiting. |
